• Joe Carey traveled the world with President Bill Clinton representing The White House and The United States of America in more than 24 countries and nearly every state, ensuring the 42nd President and his Administration's message was communicated in a clear and effective manner. He later received a Presidential Appointment by President Clinton to serve in a similar role for U.S. Secretary of Transportation Rodney Slater.

 

• With the Walt Disney Company, Joe successfully managed several national and global marketing campaigns for one of the world’s most iconic and respected brands.

 

• A native West Virginian, he served as counsel to two of the state's governors — in 1991 to then-Governor Gaston Caperton and then again in 2002 to Governor Bob Wise as director of strategic communications. 

 

• With Widmeyer Communications in New York City, Joe served as vice president, focusing on client strategic positioning and national media relations.

A proud graduate of West Liberty University, Joe served for many years as a very active member of the University’s Foundation Board. He then received an appointment by then West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin to serve on the school’s Governing Board, where he was later reappointed for another four-year term by the state’s current Governor, Jim Justice.
